It's been quite a summer. I've spent a lot of it playing music in fields full of people here and abroad. This has worked out better than we ever could have expected and it's definitely been one of the best times of my life. And we're not nearly done yet. Here's some news.

New show

I'm really pleased to announce that I've a new DJ/AV show almost ready to go. I've changed my DJ setup and am now able to play, scratch and manipulate video as well as audio during DJ sets. This has opened up a whole lot of new possibilities and I honestly haven't been this excited about DJing in quite some time. I've had to pour a whole heap of time into it as I had to get familiar with this new gear and learn/re-learn about video and video editing. I'll be giving the show it's first run this Saturday in the beautiful setting of Meeting House Square in Dublin. VJ Q The Monkey will also be providing some extra visual treats. I'm going to try and get it filmed and will hopefully have some clips next week. I'll also be running a couple of competitions for passes across our social networks.

Word Play

Thankfully the album's been selling well. We were also pleasantly suprised to see a lot of CD copies selling from the store on this site (we assumed CD sales were a thing of the past.) For the moment, CD copies are only available here. I heard yesterday that our distributors are sold out of vinyl in the UK and again, these are only available in our store and there are about 20 left. Naturally, you can get it on iTunes, Juno and all the usual download spots. Thanks everyone for supporting the release. It's much appreciated.

Big Band 

The Big Band have some cracking shows coming up in September. We'll be at the Shambala Festival in Birmingham (Friday, Main Stage, 830pm,) The Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland (Friday, Little Big Tent, Midnight) and Bestival (Friday, 1am.) We'll also be doing a headline show in Galway at the end of September.
